Prep time: 5 minutes

Total time: 5 minutes

Makes 1-8 servings

Ingredients

For a single serving:

  • ¾ cup Natureul Tigernut Granola
  • 3 tablespoons organic chia seeds
  • ¼ cup raw or roasted organic tigernuts
  • 1-2 teaspoons sweetener of choice
  • 1 cup milk or plant-based milk of choice to serve

For bulk cereal:

  • 6 cups Natureul Tigernut Granola
  • 2 cups organic chia seeds
  • 2 cups raw or roasted organic tigernuts
  • ½ cup sweetener of choice
  • 8 cups milk or plant-based milk of choice to serve

Instructions

For a single serving:

Add all ingredients to your cereal bowl and stir to distribute. Enjoy it immediately while it’s crunchy!

For bulk cereal:

Add all ingredients to a large bowl and stir until just combined–don’t over-mix or the more dense ingredients will fall to the bottom of the mix. Transfer to a large airtight container. When you’re ready to serve, scoop 1 cup portions into individual bowls and add milk.

How to Store Tigernut Granola Chia Crunch Cereal

It’s not recommended to store an individual serving once you’ve added milk to it–the liquid will absorb into the granola cereal and the pieces will start to break down.

Instead, if you need to have a single serving ready for later, you can store the cereal and milk separately in airtight containers or sandwich bags and then assemble your bowl when you’re ready to eat it.

For bulk cereal, store in an airtight container at room temperature in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Large multi-quart glass mason jars or plastic cereal containers are ideal. Store for up to 4 weeks.

Tips for Making Tigernut Granola Chia Crunch Cereal

Keep it dry until you’re ready to eat it. If you’ve ever eaten cereal before, this is kind of a no-brainer, but here’s a quick reminder: the longer cereal sits in milk (or any other liquid), the softer and soggier it gets. For the best, crunchiest results, eat immediately after adding milk.

Shake it up. If you’re storing a bulk batch of cereal, you may want to shake the container or turn it upside down every once in a while to allow the smallest and most dense ingredients to redistribute themselves through the mix.
